I don’t have a green thumb…in fact, it’s quite common for a plant in my care to die.
But recently, it’s been going well. Mainly because I realized I needed to buy “resilient” plants, like succulents.
However, I still don’t know much about plants. And there’s something that has me really confused right now:
One day, as I was watering my plants, I noticed that a new one was growing…
But the problem is that she looks NOTHING like any of the other plants I have. And they’ve been indoors for months, so this didn’t come from the outside world…

I have no idea because I kill plants just by looking at them, but it seems to me that you are definitely getting a green thumb!
Hahahaha!! Oooh I’ve so been there…I totally know the feeling
You’ve seen Little Shop of Horrors, right?
Is it a plant from that movie?
I think I saw it a loooooong time ago when I was a kid. I don’t remember any of it…
I hope it’s not a plant from that movie…In it, an innocuous-looking plant turns out to be an alien that feeds on human blood and gradually grows to fill the entire room. It’s a comedy/musical. Levi Stubbs from the Four Tops was the voice of the plant.
Oohhh haha! Yea. I would have a lot of concerns of that happened
It looks a little like a very young tomato plant or something similar… I suppose it’s possible a stray pip found its way into the soil somehow?
Oh my goodness!!!! You might be right! I googled baby tomato plant images and they do look alike! That would be insane! I’m so excited now!
You’ll have to keep us posted with mystery plant updates, I’m intrigued now!
You bet!
Any future developments will be shared
This looks a lot like a tomato plant to me–I used to grow mine from seeds. Tomato seeds are notorious for being able to, er, go though digestive systems unscathed.
Well now I have two people saying tomato plant. That is SO awesome and exciting! I’ve never had a tomato plant before! I hope I can keep this thing alive!!!
